Description
Afghan Biscuits Recipe Board
Some recipes don’t need improving. They just need remembering.
Chocolatey, crisp and crowned with chocolate icing and a walnut — Afghan biscuits are one of those unmistakable favourites from the Kiwi baking tin.
Our Afghan Biscuits Recipe Board features an old Timaru recipe from 1933, originally titled Chocolate Cornflakes. Written in ounces and engraved in a handwritten recipe-book style, it is a lovely glimpse into the way New Zealanders baked more than 90 years ago.
A Timaru classic, preserved on a board made to be used and enjoyed.
Part of our Recipes We Grew Up With collection — a little piece of Kiwi kitchen nostalgia that is useful enough to bring out and use, rather than hide away in a cupboard.
