Description

In Māori culture, Matariki is the name of the Pleiades star cluster and the celebration of its first rising in late June or early July. This marks the beginning of the Māori lunar calendar.

This laser-engraved Mataī candle holder, featuring the constellation Te Iwa 0 Matariki would make a lovely gift.

The candle holder comes complete with two standard 38mm unscented 3-hour tealight candles.

We have used Mataī (Prumnopitys Taxifolia, also known as Black Pine) timber that originally was ceiling paneling in a circa 1900 villa.

Holder measures approx 215mm x 85mm x 18mm
